RENTAL AGREEMENT

Article 1

This Agreement regulates the mutual rights, obligations, responsibilities, and relations between the Lessor and the User, where the Lessor rents out a registered and technically sound vehicle, and the User takes the vehicle in technically sound condition with complete equipment, the vehicle key, and necessary documentation. By signing this Agreement, the User confirms that they agree and fully accept the general provisions and terms outlined in this Agreement and the Price List and General Terms of Use, which are an integral part of the Agreement. The User acknowledges that the vehicle is the inalienable property of the Lessor. In case of loss, damage, or failure to return the documents, equipment, or key, the User is obliged to pay the costs and compensation for damages based on the cost of issuing new ones or the authorized service center’s price list.

Article 2

The User is obliged to return the vehicle within the agreed period. For extension of the rental period, the User must request approval at least 24 hours before the expiry of the rental term; otherwise, it will be considered that the vehicle has been unlawfully appropriated. The Lessor will notify the police, and the User will be fully liable for any damages caused, with the Price List and General Terms still applicable. If prices change during the rental period, the new prices apply from the day the vehicle was originally due for return.
The Lessor has the right to inspect the condition of the vehicle at any time during the rental and may reclaim the vehicle and terminate this Agreement without compensation if it is found that the User is not complying with its terms.

Article 3

The User is obliged to:

• Use the rented vehicle according to its intended purpose and in compliance with the Law on Road Traffic Safety, applicable legislation of North Macedonia, and the Price List and General Terms of Use.
• Not making any changes to the parts, assemblies, or devices in the vehicle without the written consent of GEORGE-COMPANY Robert DOOEL import-export Skopje. Any unauthorized modifications or missing parts will be fully charged to the User.
• Not using the vehicle for illegal activities, driver training, towing other vehicles or trailers.
• Maintain the vehicle responsibly and ensure its technical condition, regularly check engine oil levels, transmission fluid (if applicable), coolant, battery, and tire pressure. Any damage resulting from neglect is the User’s responsibility.
• Return the vehicle with a full fuel tank. Otherwise, the User will be charged for refueling and any related costs according to the Price List.

Article 4

Private Users must pay the rental fee in cash, by credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Diners, Amex, etc.), or via bank transfer upon vehicle pickup.

Corporate Users must pay the full rental amount within 7 days of the issued invoice.

Article 5

The User is liable for any damage caused to the vehicle during use, including damages due to inoperability during repairs caused by the User’s misuse. Any damage discovered upon return must be fully compensated by the User within 3 days. The User is also responsible for any damage not covered by the insurance policy due to unauthorized replacement of parts or equipment. The User must pay the costs of repairs, including lost rental income (up to 30 days), in cases of damage caused by negligence (e.g., engine, drivetrain, oil pan, tires). The User can opt for additional insurance (e.g., theft, passengers) for a daily premium. The vehicle is insured for third-party liability and comprehensive (Casco) with a deductible. However, damages to the oil pan and tires are not covered and are the User’s responsibility. If no theft insurance is taken, and theft occurs (of the vehicle, parts, tools, or equipment), the User bears full responsibility for those losses. In case of theft, the police and Lessor must be notified immediately, and the User must return the original key and registration documents and provide a police report.

Article 6

The User acknowledges that the vehicle is not insured for damage resulting from driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or while unlicensed, or with more passengers than allowed. In such cases, the User is fully liable for all damages, regardless of any insurance coverage.

Article 7

The User is responsible for all fuel, parking, toll, towing, and similar costs. The User is liable for any traffic violations, fines, or legal penalties incurred during the rental period and must cover all damages not covered by insurance. By signing this Agreement, the User authorizes GEORGE-COMPANY Robert DOOEL import-export Skopje to charge their credit/debit card for any such expenses, penalties, or damages, including through court proceedings if necessary.

Article 8

In case of an accident, breakdown, or malfunction, the User must not abandon the vehicle and must immediately notify the Lessor and provide a police report or fill out a European accident report form. The User must cooperate with the Lessor in any investigation or legal proceedings and is liable for any costs or consequences due to non-compliance.

Article 9

The User must pay a cash deposit or allow a hold on their credit/debit card (valid for at least 6 more months) as a guarantee for the vehicle’s condition. After inspection and confirmation that the vehicle is in proper condition, the deposit will be returned within 7 days.
The User authorizes the Lessor to charge any additional costs (fines, damages, excess mileage, late returns, missing items, tolls, etc.) to their card without their physical presence. The User has 7 days to dispute any charges by emailing george@george.com.mk or by mail. After this period, objections are invalid. The User acknowledges full responsibility for all traffic penalties and additional charges during the rental period and authorizes the Lessor to collect them from the User’s card.

Article 10

By signing this Agreement, the User consents to the processing of their personal data (e.g., ID, passport, driver’s license, address, card details) for the duration of the Agreement and up to 3 years after its termination for legal purposes, after which the data will be deleted in accordance with the law. The Lessor commits to handling personal data securely and confidentially.

Article 11

For any matters not regulated by this Agreement, the provisions of the Law on Obligations and current legislation of North Macedonia shall apply. All communication and delivery shall be made to the addresses provided and considered valid. Each party must notify the other of any change in personal data within 1 day. Both parties declare they have read, understood, and accepted the Agreement and its terms in full. Any disputes will be resolved by the Basic Civil Court Skopje. This Agreement is written in Macedonian in two identical copies (one for each party) and in English, available via QR code linked to the website.
